DAY 1: CUSCO – CHINCHERO – HUCHUY QOSQO
In early hours of the morning we will head to the town of Chinchero, The shuttle itself will leave us at the bottom of the lagoon called Piuray where we will have the opportunity to see a large variety of birds that fly over the place along with the benefits of nature offered by the area ; We will manage our backpacks and start our walk by going to the small town of Tauqaq, located on the shores of the Piuray Lagoon that still offers other varieties , then our trek continues toward the Paso of Tauqaq (4000 meters above sea level) it will take us an average of 3 hours to get there. From here we will be able to see part of the chain of the mountain ranges of the Andes. Among the snowy caps we will see: the Ausangate, Veronica, Pitusiray, Sahuasiray. And by afternoon we will descend to our camp located shortly before reaching Huchuy qosqo .
DAY 2: HUCHUY QOSQO – LAMAY – OLLANTAYTAMBO –AGUAS CALIENTES:
After breakfast we will continue with our Inca Trail to Huchuy Qosqo, place we will explore with our tos guide for about 2 hours. then we will continue by going down to the village of Lamay, but not without watching the greatness of the Sacred Valley watered by the great Willcamayu or holy river (Urubamba river today). We will have a brief break in Lamay and then we will continue hiking until we reach Ollantaytambo, where we will hop on a train to Aguas Calientes, where we will be spending the night.
DAY 3: AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO:
We will start hiking up to Machu Picchu at about 5:20 am, where we will explore with our tour guide for about 2 hours and a half, he will guide us through the Inca City of Machu Picchu, exploring the most important archeological sites like: The Main Plaza (la Plaza Principal), The circular tower (la Torre Circular), The sun clock (el Reloj Solar), the royal rooms (los Cuartos Reales), the 3 windowed temple (el Templo de las Tres Ventanas), the royal cementeries (los Cementerios Reales) and many more. After this we will have free time to keep exploring around or to hike Waynapicchu or to go back down to the town of Aguas Calientes to relax and enjoy the hot springs. Later on we will hop on the train to Ollantaytambo where our shuttle will be waiting for us to take us back to Cusco where the Huchuy Qosqo and Machu Picchu will end.
