The Inca jungle tour is an alternative path that combines adventure sports like, mountain biking, river rafting, zip lining and a 3 day hike to Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu.The Inca Jungle route is the most popular tour among young travellers all around the world that come to Cusco in search of an adventure and extreme sports tour. As a tour operator located in Cusco we offer a differentiated service; an exclusive route, the most qualified guides that speak english and know all about the local history, bicycles equipped for downhill riding, boating services and a modern zipline but also safe. We recommend to our traveler friends to book in early advance to get everything insured and avoid unnecessary risks like, loss of equipment, left without access to Machu Picchu, Huayna picchu or worse to stay have to stay in Aguas Calientes without a train back.


Our agency “Machu Picchu Hike”, will pick you up from your place of stay between 5:00 am and 5:30 to then head out to our restaurant were we will have a delicious breakfast buffet, we will then continue to the Sacred Valley where we will appreciate the beautiful and colourful scenery of the natural and cultural attractions, until we get to Ollantaytambo, where our guide will give us 30 minutes of free time to have some water and snacks or to use the toilet if needed, then we will hop on our shuttle and head towards the mountain of Abra Malaga where we will reach an altitude of 4350 meters above sea level. From here we will start our descent by bicycle, passing through small villages, orchards, rivers and streams. Our mountain biking tour ends in Amaybamba at a height of 1200 meters above sea level, from here we will hop back in the shuttle and we will head towards the town of Santa Maria, arriving there around 2:00 pm where we will have our lunch. After lunch we will head to the village of Santa Teresa where we will be opening our first night.


We will wake up around 6:00 am to enjoy our traditional breakfast, Prior to this trek our guide will give us the option of taking on some adventure sports (Ziplining or canopy, tour included) if you do not desire to take this option we will continue to hike until we reach Hidroelectirca, the control location and place where we will all have lunch together. We will then continue by walking along the train tracks until we reach the town of Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu) where we will having dinner and where we will be spending our last night. At night our tour guide will give a brief explanation of whats about to come on our last day.


Finally the day we’ve been all waiting for has arrived, in comparison to the other days, on this day we will wake up at 4:30 am to start our hike up the Inca city of Machu Picchu so we can see the sunrise at the top. The hike up will take us approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. Once we get to Machu Picchu our guide will give a 2 hour tour around the most important archeological sites like: The Main Plaza (la Plaza Principal), The circular tower (la Torre Circular), The sun clock (el Reloj Solar), the royal rooms (los Cuartos Reales), the 3 windowed temple (el Templo de las Tres Ventanas), the royal cementeries (los Cementerios Reales) and many more. After the tour we will have free time to explore on our own, to take your best pictures and to just enjoy the beautiful scenery all around. We will hop on a late train to Ollantaytambo, where our bus back to Cusco will be waiting for us, we will get there around 10:30 pm, where you will be transported back to your place of stay. End of the Inka Jungle.
